Q: While you poster artworks are beautiful, you’re more well-known for your ceramic sculptures/items. How do you feel about your three-dimensional work becoming two-dimensional?
A: I find it exciting that my sculptures change character and become new work through the camera lens. I think the prints stand on their own as art pieces.
Q: How did you first become interested in ceramics?
A: I discovered ceramics when I got to try clay in an art class in high school, I fell in love at once and started a ceramic course in the evenings with mostly old ladies, it was the highlight of the week.
Q: What is some of the best advice you've ever received in your work life?
A: To always take home something I’ve done if I’m dissatisfied. Changing place and content always gives new perspectives and I always see new things that way and not least it saves a lot of things from the dustbin.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish with your career over the next few years?
A: I want to develop my sculptures. I feel that I am in the starting phase of something that needs to be explored. I also hope for good contexts to show my sculptures abroad and different types of fun collaborations.
