Elisabeth Dunker

Elisabeth Dunker is the leading designer and creative director of Fine Little Day. Her expression springs from a love for nature and crafts and is rooted in a naive image manér, several of Elisabeth’s designs have become true Fine Little Day classics.

Fine Little Day started out as a blog in 2007 by artist and photographer Elisabeth Dunker. She studied a master in design at HDK – School of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg, Sweden. After the blog started it didn’t take long before snap shots from Elisabeth’s daily life was loved by readers all over the world.

Today she works best from a corner in her home. Even though she has been working as a designer for a long time now, she still doesn’t have a routine or particular procedure when working. A stroll, a visit to the flea market or scrolling the phone without a goal is where she takes impressions.

With different techniques such as acrylic, watercolor, crayons she draws and paints. But one thing is for sure, she seldom paints or draws on a blank white paper. It should be something dirty, already used like an envelope, cardboard box or piece of textile or else she’ll be stuck.

For Fine Little Day she creates patterns and images that have become designs applied on posters, cushion covers, stationery, textiles and much more.

"There’s a strong connection between health, healing and art. And the fact that the benefits of engaging with artistic activities  aren’t merely in your head – makes a good reason why I enjoy what I’m doing so much".
